Multiclassing in Baldur’s Gate 3 has no requirements and was improved for casters

Almost three years after its debut in the early access of Baldur’s Gate 3, only three weeks from the debut of version 1.0 After the development of developers, transfer the game for an earlier term and avoid a direct collision with Starfield. During the past last week "Panel from Hell" Larian also confirmed the presence of many functions, such as multi -cells.

In a new interview, the leading system designer Larian Nick Pechenin spoke about a number of key changes that are waiting for the Baldur’s Gate 3 players compared to the usual set of rules&D 5th edition.

We have changed several basic rules to eliminate possible friction with multi -cells. If you are familiar with the rules D&D5e, you probably know that there are restrictions on the number of statues of statues that must be observed to activate the multi -cells. We took them off, and you can create a character with several classes at any time. There is even an achievement that requires reaching the 12th level, having in level in each class. Of course, for some players it will be very difficult, but thanks to the removal of restrictions, it became possible.

During the pleuster, we saw that many players seeking multi -cells already have a clear build in their heads, which they want to use, possibly following a more impressive "desktop" builds. Beginners, as a rule, adhered to the chosen class from beginning to end. We designed the level of increasing the level in such a way as not to focus on the availability of multi -classification, since we understand that this possibility is in demand mostly experienced players.

In addition, we changed the procedure for using the slots of spells by users of magic, making less burdensome an increase in the level of more than one magic class. One of the problems of multi -classification is that if you do it at the beginning of the game, you will not get strong abilities like "Fire ball" at the same level as "clean" class, but we wanted players to be multi -classification from the very beginning of the campaign without the need to wait for the level, so we have changed the use of resources a little.

These are quite serious changes. The latter, in particular, did not leave indifferent many fans of Baldur’s Gate 3. In the 5th D&D Casters and so benefit from the multiclass, and in the game it seems that it will be even more profitable.
